Cody!

My beautiful fifi died July 21st, 2009. We bought a border collie puppy a few months later, called her Cody, and loved her like nothing on earth. She's the sweetest thing in our house :) I miss my poodle, but am seriously loving having a little bundle of joy (... and destruction) racing around our house.

a few more things

Today wasn't what I would call excellent, but there was plenty to say thankyou for anyhow.

1. The billboard I saw today, selling a service by Leslie Lively. That name makes me smile.

2. The latte I drank that smelled and tasted like a gingerbread man. Ohmigod, it was amazing.

3. The student nurse who smiled at me when I rolled my eyes at the diabetes educators. You made me feel like I wasn't being stupid, that yes, they were doing something legitimately mockable. Thank you. Also, not seeing Patsy at my appointment :) (Y)

4. The condom wrapper I found at the Point this morning. It made me strangely happy to know that some happy, adventurous couple did it down there :P

5. Finding my Mellow mix CD! Ah, relief :) Also, rearranging my other CDs again, clearing them out, it's all good feng shui I think.

belated 'thank you's

Wow, so it's been a while since I said thanks for anything on here. There has been so much to be grateful for since August - so, so much.

Thank you Shannon, for sending me such a warm, beautiful apology, for forgiving and forgetting, and for being someone so easy to miss.

Thank you Laura, without you I would have no one to share all my fun secrets with, no one to go crazy with, no one to call my best friend. Thank you for showing me just how much love I am capable of.

Thanks to November for bringing sunshine, heat and the holidays. Thanks for birthdays and upcoming christmas. Thank you Blake for teaching me to play poker, among other things - broadening my film watching experiences, opening my mind to the once-dreaded phone call, etc.

Thanks to mum and dad for always believing that I will do great things with my life - you give me reason to try.

Thanks to the perth music scene for helping me find a place, a love, and to feel connected to the world around me.

Thanks Shoki for teaching me what affection is really like, and always making me feel like I'm the one you want.

For my hilarious sister, my beautiful friends, my accommodating bosses, my devoted tutors, the books I have read that opened my mind and heart, the places I've gone that have inspired me, and all the beauty and awe there is to experience if you look.
